Steam Eggless Choc Cake

It has been a while I didn't update this blog. Well, in the kitchen.. I baked this cake after I prepared lunch today, Sunday 10 June. It's super moist and I like it...My collegues tasted it and they requested the recipe from me. The recipe is adapted from DapurKu Sayang. My eldest love the cake and I supposed this is the third time I baked it.

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups of flour
  2. 1 small spoon of baking powder
  3. 1 small spoon of   bicarbonate soda
  4. 2 spoon of milk powder (I use my son's milk powder Dutch Lady 123)
  5. 1 cup of chocolate powder of any brand
  6. 2 1/2 cup of cold water from the refrigarator
  7. 1-2 cups of brown sugar
  8. 1 small spoon of vanilla essence
  9. a pinch of salt (if you prefer)
  10. 1 cup of oil of any brand
  11. 1 small spoon of lemon juice/ calamondin (limau kasturi- I use this in the recipe)/ key lime (limau nipis). In other words, any lime would do.
Procedures
  1. Put the stimmer on the stove. Cover the stimmer with cloth (refer to the picture here).
  2. Prepare the brass. Apply butter on it or you may put papers (A4 paper-  I use this) before pouring the mixture into the brass.
  3. Sieve flour, baking powder, bicarbonate soda and chocolate powder in basin or large pot.
  4. Stir finely.
  5. Add in cold water, oil, and vanilla essence.  Stir finely...make sure there is no small bubbles.
  6. Add in calamondin. Stir again.
  7. Pour the mixture into the brass for 1 hour and 30 or 15 minutes.
  8. Let the cake cold for a while before slicing it.
