Ingredients
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 small spoon of baking powder
- 1 small spoon of bicarbonate soda
- 2 spoon of milk powder (I use my son's milk powder Dutch Lady 123)
- 1 cup of chocolate powder of any brand
- 2 1/2 cup of cold water from the refrigarator
- 1-2 cups of brown sugar
- 1 small spoon of vanilla essence
- a pinch of salt (if you prefer)
- 1 cup of oil of any brand
- 1 small spoon of lemon juice/ calamondin (limau kasturi- I use this in the recipe)/ key lime (limau nipis). In other words, any lime would do.
- Put the stimmer on the stove. Cover the stimmer with cloth (refer to the picture here).
- Prepare the brass. Apply butter on it or you may put papers (A4 paper- I use this) before pouring the mixture into the brass.
- Sieve flour, baking powder, bicarbonate soda and chocolate powder in basin or large pot.
- Stir finely.
- Add in cold water, oil, and vanilla essence. Stir finely...make sure there is no small bubbles.
- Add in calamondin. Stir again.
- Pour the mixture into the brass for 1 hour and 30 or 15 minutes.
- Let the cake cold for a while before slicing it.
