Sambal Kuinin
Entry ni nak segera dipublish since sambal ni dah lama dah dibuat. Sambal kuinin is another condiment that is made that can be eaten with rice. Skrg kan musim buah mempelam.. so beli kat pasar malam itu hari utk dijadikan side dish (not sure whether the term is correct or otherwise). Anyway, since hubby takleh makan nasi tanpa sambal, so kena sediakan jugakler. Sambal ni paling senang nak buat since kita perlukan hanya:
- Kuinin sebiji saja dah cukup
- Cili kecil dalam 3 biji. Kalu nak pedas tambahkan saja. Make sure kuantiti kuinin juga ditambahkan, yek?
- Gula and garam secukup rasa
- Belacan dalam seinci dua (hubby's favourite)
- Racik2kan kuinin halus2. Up to u nak racik camner...
- Ambil lesung, tumbuk cili, garam, gula n belacan
- Masukkan semula kuinin yg telah diracikkan tadi
- Ambil sudu utk gaulkan bahan2 i), dan ii) bersama dengan iii)
- Dah siap dan dijamukan kepada yg tersayang

Home made grind chillies
The grind chillies after it was blended
You can get this much for 1/2 kg of dried chillies
Did you notice that the grind chillies that was sold in the local market was a way TOO salty? Preparing it yourself is more satisfying. Here's the procedure and preparation of your DIY grind chillies.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg of dried chillies
- some cooked water
- Cook or boil dried chillies until it is really soft. You may also throw away the seed of the chillies if you want. It is better if you do this..but it depends on how much you have to do it though.
- Sieve the chillies that are already cooked
- Let it cold for a while
- Later, put the chillies in a blender. Add a little bit of water (that was already cooked)
- Blend all the chillies- finely
- In a container, put the chillies you've already blended.
- Store it in the fridge. The compartment at the centre to be exact.

Sambal Asam Jawa
Sambal Asam Jawa or tamarind cordiment is a must when there is ikan bakar in the house. Usually when I make the sambal, I eat more sambal than the fish itself- taste much better if it spicy. Last night, I made the sambal and together with it, of course, some ikan tamban that I giilled prior to making the sambal. My husband nagged a little bit because I cooked a little bit late last night. Thought to recite quran a verses or two- Alhamdulillah, managed to read few verses . He was saying something to me but I couldn't hear what he said. After we ate, then he told me that if possible I needed to cook early because the kids had to go to bed at 10pm every night. Okay, that justified the thing he nagged about earlier on. Too much detail of this and that. Now, lets take a look at two simple steps on how to make the sambal.
Ingredients
1. 15 small chillies
2. sugar
3. salt
4. tamarind
5. water
Procedures
1. Slice or mash small chillies
2. Add water, tamarind, sugar and salt
